Transforming Male Mental and Emotional Wellbeing
Brothers in Arms is a Scottish charity and an autonomous, private, and anonymous online platform supporting men’s mental and emotional wellbeing.
The Challenge
Around 75% of all suicides are male. It’s the leading cause of death for men under 45 worldwide. This is not inevitable—it’s preventable. Early intervention and mindset change are key.
The Mission
By using technology, men can self-manage their mental health just as they do their physical health. Our free, tailored digital support is funded by those affected by male suicide, creating safe, private spaces where men can seek help on their own terms.
Why Technology
Technology doesn’t judge. It doesn’t care about background, skin colour, or orientation. It simply provides access—anytime, anywhere. The Blethr platform offers free, anonymous therapeutic support with no data stored or collected. It’s not about likes or opinions—it’s about having space to breathe, reflect, and understand what’s going on inside.
(Not a crisis service. For immediate help, contact your GP or Samaritans at 116123.)
Community and Impact
Over 2,000 men have used the platform, and 3,000 more have engaged with our content. 90% of users come through referrals—one man sharing the link with another. Share it too; it could make a difference.
Support and Sustainability
Volunteer-led and donation-funded, every contribution directly supports men’s wellbeing. Our principle is “Prevention through self-management.” Help is offered before crisis.
The Vision
Brothers in Arms is dedicated to Life Preservation, not Suicide Prevention.
Technology is not a replacement for human connection—it’s a bridge to it. Together, we can transform male mental health.
